♦️♦️220 Shelterbags – Making a Difference♦️♦️
👍12 Rotary Clubs from District 9510 recently came together to collect 220 Shelterbags from RARE – Rotary Australia Repurposing Equipment for distribution across South Australia. These Shelterbags will support people experiencing homelessness and provide practical, dignified relief for those sleeping rough.
🔹 What is a Shelterbag?
A Shelterbag is a lightweight, waterproof, and rollable sleeping bag designed for people without secure housing. It includes:
• A built-in mattress and lined hood
• A compartment for personal belongings
• Room for a blanket or other bedding
• Rolls into a compact, easy-to-carry bag (2Kg)
• Easy to clean and reuse
• Branded with the Rotary logo
👏👏Thanks to the support of community organisations like the Salvation Army, Hutt Street Centre, Lutheran Care, Playford Community Fund and many other community groups. These Shelterbags will soon be in the hands of those who need them most in the community👏👏
