SUPERTEE![]() WHY : SUPERTEE SA Facing a diagnosis of “cancer” the trauma of diagnosis, and a schedule of invasive treatment is challenging for anyone let alone a child. Care during treatment can be invasive, painful and complicated by the clothing one wears. The Supertee is an access garment that allows the young person to be treated without disturbance. Providing greater rest, reducing stress for carer and child and delivers an emotional confidence boost. Inspired by the story of Aloisi family, and of Supertee designer Jason Sotiris (www.supertee.com.au), Rotarian Brian Wybrow was motivated to make a difference.
Potential shines brightest when it's inspired, that's why the Rotary Club of Mobilong is partnering with Supertees and the W&CH Foundation in encouraging children affected by disease to call on their super powers, combat their fears and realise their potential. That's what People of Action Do. |

To todays show which features as an annual event in the prestigious Regional Gallery's calendar. Today, Murray Bridge enjoys a rich arts culture featuring art festivals, markets and local art societies. Food Hub targets Food Insecurity
![]() "FOODBANK" FOOD HUB - Murray BridgeHunger hides in every community. That's why Rotary Clubs support programs to provide healthy food and develop sustainable solutions to food insecurity. Fighting hunger build stronger communities - That's what people of Action do! In 2018 the Rrotary Club Mobilong assisted by grant funds from the Rotary Foundation, funded kitchen equipment to support the breakfast club program at the Murray Bridge North School. This project afforded us greater insight into the reality of food insecurity within our community. Later that year Rotarian Wendy Gaborit attended a networking lunch and was inspired by Foodbank CEO Greg Pattinson's presentation and commenced a conversation to scope community need and the project requirements with view to delivering a Food Hub in Murray Bridge servicing the communities of Murray Bride, Mannum, Tailem Bend and the Murray Mallee. But projects such as this require partnerships and community support. The Goal to raise $50,000 these funds to be matched by Foodbank and the funds used to create the hub and finance its first year of operation, thereafter the project is self sustainable. |
